Holdsworth Cyclone De-Luxe. SOLD!
Reynolds 531 tube set and spearpoint ornate lugs.

| Model: Cyclone De Luxe | Frameforks: 23 inch Reynolds 531 double butted frameset, 22 inch top tube. | | Colour: Black | Age: 1952-4 | | Gears: Has 4 speed cartride, with fixed wheel cog, but no deraileurs. | Brakes: GB Coureur Hiduminium (alloy) quick release Calipers & levers | | Handlebars: Maes? or GB drop alloy | Pedals: Chromed steel rat trap | | Stem: GB Alloy, and headset | Seatpost: Alloy | | Saddles: Brooks B15 leather | Wheels: 27 x 1&3/4 inch, alloy rims, Fratelli Brivaro wide flange hubs, steel spokes | | Cranks: Modern 175mm chromed steel, Bayliss Wiley bottom bracket. | Chainwheel: Modern Chromed steel | | Other details: We have here a nice old Holdsworth Cyclone De luxe from the 1950's, Reynolds 531 frame & forks, with nice chrome fork crown, it was in use up till 4 years ago, and was well maintained a cared for by its previous owner, who bought it new back in the 50's, he used on a regular basis in club riding & touring, it was re-enamelled a while back (1980's?) and had its chainwhell & cranks replaced, the deraileurs were removed and not re-fitted, due to wear and the fact he didn't need the gears anymore for riding around town (old school single speeder!), condition is good used, showing signs of use and age, in need of some work, depending on your requirements! has rusty spokes, and the enamel has chips and scratchescan be ridden as is (I now use it around town as it fits me fine & nice to ride, it has alot of its original fittings, except for the cranks, chainwheel, pedals, tyres & tubes (may need re-newing, as worn), but they are the similar to the original sets. more info can be found about this bike at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nkilgariff/ | |
