Other details: This is a rare original DK bmx stem, 1 inch alloy, all as original, removed from an old school cruiser, a classic bit of BMX history: DK was started by a racers dad, who made him a stem that was stronger. Bill Danisk from Dayton Ohio kept breaking stems, so his dad, Charlie, an engineer from GM made him one that could hold up to the abuse. Soon other riders saw it, and wanted one, thus the company was born. The DK on the stem is how they used to be done, the stem is showing signs of use and age, with a few marks, but still in good usable condition, would look lovely polished up.
