| Model: Series BMX Burner | Frameforks: Oval tube section. | | Colour: Grey speck with purple/grey base. | Age: late 1980's | | Gears: Single speed | Brakes: Chromed steel calipers & plastic Lee-chi levers | | Handlebars: 2 piece colour co-ordinated with frame & forks | Pedals: Plastic SR SP-519 | | Stem: SR Alloy MS-422 | Seatpost: Chromed steel | | Saddles: Aeroyal | Wheels: 20 inch black Free Master mags, Bernardi, Italy. | | Cranks: 1 piece chromed steel | Chainwheel: Chromed steel and plastic guard | Other details: Another of the Raleigh Burner series, this is the later version, with the MK11 oval tubes, with different paint job to the norm, this is hard to explain so best to make up your own mind, Purple/grey is what it looks like to me! Suntour style seatpost clamp & SR stem are to be expected, but the Mag wheels were more common on the Raleigh Wildcat etc, from the same era, but set this bike off nice, bar pad is also included. This is in good ridable condition, I have fitted new cables, the tubes hold air but the tyres are showing signs of perishing, but still okay, the saddle has scuffs, but the frame & forks paint is in great condition, but the decals on the forks are scuffed & faded on the frame, but still intact. So all in all a good everyday retro ridable bmx (ready to go), which has been dry stored most of its life. | |
